美國商業模式諮詢機構Board of Innovation一月評選出2010年十大震撼創業模式。分別是:Kickstarter.com,Quircky.com,Groupon.com,AirBnb.com,HumbleBundle.com,PayWithATweet.com,Spotify.com,PatientsLikeMe.com,Free with in-app sales。新興的網路商業模式,究竟有哪些驚人之處,以下是highlights:

1. www.Kickstarter.com(創意集資平台)
Kickstarter is a new way to fund creative ideas and ambitious endeavors. Project creators inspire people to open their wallets by offering smart, fun, and tangible rewards (products, benefits, and experiences). Every project must be fully funded before its time expires or no money changes hands. If a project is successfully funded, Kickstarter applies a 5% fee to the funds raised.
Kickstarter.com是一個讓人提案並募集資金的網站。Kickstarter平台一方是有新創意、渴望創造的人,另一方則是願意出錢、幫助他們實現創造性想法的人,然後見證新發明、新創作、新產品的出現。一旦募款成功,Kickstarter會收取5%的費用。

2. www.Quirky.com(合作發明平台)

Quirky is a social product development company. Your product ideas come in, our community works on them, we sell your product worldwide, and 30¢ of every dollar brought in gets distributed amongst you and the product's influencers.
是一種企業組織和線上社群相融合的網站。想要成為發明家的人,向由有著共同興趣的發明者們所組成的社群提出產品創意,而這個社群會每週挑選出一個發明創意用於未來發展,並在設計和行銷過程中給與幫助和指導。這一產品會最終進入市場,30%的營收所得分配給參與過程的每個人。

3. www.Groupon.com(團購網站)

Groupon features a daily deal on the best stuff to do, see, eat, and buy in more than 300 markets and 35 countries. The deal of the day group buying business model turned Groupon into the second fastest company to reach a billion dollar valuation – the fastest being YouTube. Groupon even turned down a $6 billion acquisition offer from Google recently. Customers typically saving 50% or more off the retail price. Groupon takes 50% commission from every sale.

Flattr was founded to help people share money, not just content. Before Flattr, the only reasonable way to donate has been to use Paypal or other systems to send money to people. The threshold for this is quite high. Flattr solves this issue. When you’re registered to Flattr, you pay a small monthly fee. You set the amount yourself. At the end of the month, that fee is divided between all the things you flattered. Flattr takes a 10% commission.

AirBnb connects people who have space to spare with those who are looking for a place to stay. Users rent out spaces, such as an apartment or a room, to each other. AirBnb charge the host a 3% fee. They also charge the traveler a 6-12% fee on top of the price.
*商業模式:單方配對平台。Airbnb通過這種由下至上的P2P模式把普通人聯繫到一起,人們彼此之間可以出租閒置的房間。一個民主化的專業服務。Airbnb根據出租價格收取12%以內的傭金。

6. www.HumbleBundle.com(電子商務

Humble Indie Bundles are a series of game bundling experiments that allowed users to purchase collections of multi-platform DRM-free independently developed video games online in a ‘pay-what-you-want’ manner. Customers decide how much they pay, and how the money is split between developers and charity.
*商業模式:成功的自主定價模式。以隨你出價的方式販賣遊戲!為了推動銷售,該網站讓買家控制網站、慈善機構和其它機構之間分配收入。

7. www.PayWithATweet.com(用推訊買東西)

In today’s world the value of people talking about your product is sometimes higher than the money you would get for it. ‘Pay with a Tweet’ is the first social payment system, where people pay with the value of their social network. More a marketing tool that a business model.
*商業模式:用社交網路的價值支付。與其說是一種商業模式,不如說是一種行銷工具。用戶不用現金買東西,而是用曝光度。活動發起者有望獲得病毒式行的效果,從而獲得更大的影響力。發起者可以利用獲得的聲譽銷售更多產品。

8. www.Spotify.com(音樂網站)

Spotify offers a basic music streaming service to music fans for free. Advertisers cover the costs. A small percentage of fans pay for a premium service. Record companies are starting to make more money out of Spotify than iTunes.
*商業模式:freemium 模式(Freemium 的意思是說,讓你用免費的基本服務,之後再希望你會轉而使用付費服務)。免費使用者可以免費收聽音樂,付費使用者可享受高級服務。廣告主支付相關費用! 。

9. www.PatientsLikeMe.com(病人社群)

PatientsLikeMe enables people to share information that can improve the lives of patients diagnosed with life-changing diseases. To make this happen, they created a platform for collecting and sharing patient data and establishing data-sharing partnerships with doctors, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, research organizations, and non-profits. People find other patients like them to connect and learn from their experiences. PatientsL! ikeMe collects the data and sells them for huge sums to pharmaceutical companies, research organizations, etc.
*商業模式:一個為病人打造的社群平台。人們在這裡分享自己的病歷。這家網站已經吸引了數千名病人。在經過病人同意後,該網站可以收集病人的資訊,然後賣給醫藥公司等協力廠商機構。

10. Free with in-app sales(免費應用+應用內購買)

The sales of virtual goods often outperforms mobile ads – 6 out of the top 10 grossing iPhone apps used the in-app business model.
*商業模式:交叉銷售。 通過提供免費遊戲(應用)吸引用戶。如果用戶體驗引人入勝的話,用戶願意購買更多東西。通過採用中間信用系統來體現所購買虛擬商品的現實價值。
